Flipo is back with a mega queer anthem, ‘You and I’.  The track premiered on triple j yesterday and is a sentimental ode to G’s past relationship.

“You & I is a LGBTQIA+ love anthem. It’s about being able to look at someone and the whole world just becomes background noise to your epic love story and it feels like it’s only you and that other person standing on the planet. It’s a highlight reel of beautiful moments to me. It’s extremely bittersweet as I wrote this song when I was crazy in love and I’m currently healing from a break up. It was written in a couple of hours while I was in London with a producer named Bastian....and it's my mum's favourite song”

G Flip has never shied away from the influence her personal life has on her music.  Many of her previous releases explore the varied stages of her relationships.

‘You and I’ follows G’s first offering of the year, ‘Hyperfine’ which originally leaked as a live demo at the beginning of the year.

Since releasing her debut single ‘About You’ two years ago, G Flip has sold out all five Australian headline tours to date, been nominated for three ARIA Awards, scored multiple gold-accredited singles, and has played at festivals across the world including Neon Lights, Lollapalooza, Splendour in the Grass, Laneway Festival, SXSW, and more.

Love ya G.
