Brisbane-based rockers Beddy Rays have just dropped their new single and accompanying video, 'On My Own', and it might just be the group's most personal single to date. Says the group's frontman, Jacko:

On My Own takes you to the darker side of our songwriting and taps into the melancholy aspects of being alone. It’s about the importance of taking time to yourself to sort out your own backyard, taking on whatever comes your way and backing yourself on every step of the way.

The epic, mosh-ready track also has a new music video to boot, shot in true Brizzy-rocker style: '[we shot it] in Lewy’s dad’s shed because it has shit spread everywhere'.

The boys from Redland Bay (Reddy Bay = Beddy Rays, get it?) are having a great run of it this year, kicking off 2021 with a sweet Hottest 100 placement (#57 for 'Sobercoaster'), being named finalists for both the National Indigenous Music Awards and Queensland Music Awards held earlier this year and winning the 2021 Levi’s Music Prize. They also recently scored their very first triple j Like A Version, and - in case you somehow missed it - the must watch is here.

And don't forget to go stream 'On My Own' now on all good music platforms now!
