Words by Keane Fletcher

It's Friday Hiplanders, and that means we've got some fresh new music for your earholes, this time courtesy of across-the-ditch indie darlings There's A Tuesday who's latest single 'Bus Stop' (and accompanying music video) hits your streaming services as of today!

Released via BENEE's label, Olive Records, and inspired by artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Julia Jacklin, TAT's catchy, effervescent new single plays on the notion of ‘right person, wrong time’ and more often than not, the sadness that it can bring. Says the band:

Inspired by a human who takes the bus a great amount, ‘Bus Stop’ shares the story of two people who realise that being different to one another isn’t a reason to dismiss a conversation, relationship or experience. If anything, it’s about realising that certain dissimilarities are the difference needed to make a difference.

Trust those En Zeduh's to be one step ahead of us in the enlightenment race!

If you haven't already cottoned on to TAT's indie goodness, nows your chance! Made up of alternating vocalists Natalie Hutton and Minnie Robberds, with Angus Murray and Joel Becker on drums and guitar, TAT catapulted onto the scene in NZ after winning Smokefree Rockquest in 2019 before going on to drop their debut EP Dance With Me Before We Cry -- featuring the fan-favourite hit 'Amsterdam' -- late last year. And considering they're already scheduled to tour alongside BENEE on her Aotearoa Tour in early 2022, here's hoping that travel bubble opens up again so we can get to see them sooner rather than later!

In the meantime though, checkout the 'Bus Stop' music video and go stream the single now on all good streaming services. Choice as bro!

Thanks for stopping by Hipland!
